Born in Kiel, Germany, the artist began her first musical endeavors in the school choir and school orchestra. After high school, she received Musical and Drama training at the Pera Academy of Fine Arts. In 1995, she joined Istanbul University's European Community program. During these years, she shared the stage with many jazz musicians such as Selçuk Sun, Şenova Ülker, Yaz Baltacıgil, Neşet Ruacan, Aydın Esen, and Nilüfer Verdi. In 1997, she went to Boston and worked with Milli Bermeyo. During the same period, she attended vocal workshops organized by Sheila Jordan at Harvard University. Upon returning to Istanbul, she continued her jazz vocal training with Randy Esen. She performed as a soloist with leading pop and jazz orchestras in Istanbul. In 1998, she enrolled in the Music Department of the Faculty of Art and Design at Yıldız Technical University, where she became a voice student of Yıldız Dağdelen. At the same faculty, she worked with Ahmet Yürür, Şirin Pancaroğlu, and Alper Maral. In 2005, she completed her master's degree at the Institute of Social Sciences at Yıldız Technical University.

Her first album, "İçimde Aşk Var," consisting entirely of her own compositions, was released in 2012 under the Ada Müzik label. This work — at times naive, at times screaming with full force — captured the inner voice, contradictions, fears, and hopes oscillating between her heart and mind, drawing the attention of music writers.

Her second album, "Zarf Tümleci," hit the shelves in 2014 under the DMC label. For Şenay Lambaoğlu, Zarf Tümleci carries the most urban, the most daring, the most artistic, and the most personal meaning in music. Across eight songs, we hear the words and compositions of a woman's courage. The album also features traces of İlhan Şeşen, an anonymous Anatolian folk song "Kadifeden Kesesi," even an Armenian folk song reminiscent of Gomitas Vartabed, the unifying and complementary power of jazz, and the shadows of master musicians.

In 2015, she received the Best Jazz Artist award from Radio Boğaziçi organized by Boğaziçi University, the Müzik Ekspres award, and in 2019 she was voted Alternative Female Artist by Entertainment Journalists.

She has participated with her projects in many prestigious jazz and music festivals, most notably the Istanbul Jazz Festival, Ankara Jazz Festival, and Akbank Jazz Festival.

In her third album 'Başka Türlü Bir Şey,' released under the Sony Music label, Şenay Lambaoğlu interprets legendary songs such as Farketmeden, Seni Düşünmek, Sensiz Olmaz, and Uçurtma. Unforgettable works by unforgettable poets — from Can Yücel to Nazım Hikmet, from Omar Khayyam to Forough Farrokhzad — come to life anew through Şenay Lambaoğlu's clear voice, powerful interpretation, and compelling expression.

Rüyalarım Gir (2019) and Hayat Defteri (2021) are among the albums the artist released under the Ada Müzik label.

Şenay Lambaoğlu, a singer-songwriter and performer acclaimed for her powerful lyrics and captivating melodies both at home and at jazz festivals abroad, describes her music as: "Music becomes more colorful and multiplies when it travels between genres and is nourished by other things. In my music, I try to blend jazz, pop, Latin, and ethnic sounds in a style uniquely my own." Last year, her 6th album "Sığınak" was specially prepared in LP format for her listeners and received great acclaim.

Her brand-new song, created together with Erdem Sökmen, Eylem Pelit, and Turgut Alp Bekoğlu, was released on all digital platforms last month.
